Flower Crown

This is the crown I made for myself It has small white orchids and white bleedinghearts, as well as ivey and various greenery. I really like the maidenhair fern - I think that's what it's called.

I've always loved making flower and leaf crowns, so this was quite fun! I started with a long sturdy stem with evenly spaced small leaves on it - I don't know what kind of plant it was from. I used some narrow dark brown ribbon to tie it into a circle. Then I wound ivey and some of the other greens around it, securing them with ribbon also, to make a green base to stick the flowers in. I then threaded the flower stems through and wrapped them round and then wound some ribbons all around the whole thing to help keep it all in place. I tied a bow in the back with the ribbons and left long streamers hanging down. I also poked in a few more long ferns in the back to hang down with the streamers.
