here you can see how the overdress laces up the front over the center panel of the under dress which is covered with the same sheer lacy fabric as the skirt. To keep the lacing even I actually just stitched it in at the ight width apart so it can't scrunch and stretch in the wrong places and keeps the edges of the overdress in line with the pincess seams. The back is where there is 'real' lacing.
